80 class bank engines
The coal trains need 3 bank engines to help them over the Liverpool Ranges at Ardglen. Awesome sight and sound as the work up the hill.

Mikey Puttock General Hi Tony, Great picture, I love these locos, 8001 was my favourite. The SRA of NSW 80 class are a Comeng Alco CE615A, 50 were built between November 1978 and March 1983. They were mostly found west of Sydney and west of the overhead catenary at Lithgow, they did venture outside of the area to Sydney, south to Melbourne and north to Brisbane. Today 25 of the class were sold to Southern & Silverton to form the 80s class with 23 chosen to be operational. The rest are either already scrapped, or sitting in a siding "mothballed" stored or like 8027 and co, still earning their keep with Pacific National. 4/4/2008 10:50:53 AM
